A servant's heart

Servant leaders are motivated by love. And love is the greatest civic virtue. This truth is best embodied in this Monday motivation quote by Radhanath Swami: "Love is an expression of the heart. Love is when we value unselfish service for the wellbeing of others. Compassion is the natural expression of a loving heart. It is the greatest need in the world today."

“The servant-leader is servant first… It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead. That person is sharply different from one who is leader first, perhaps because of the need to assuage an unusual power drive or to acquire material possessions…"
